Leave it to Apple to make me feel inferior.
Today Apple unveiled some new products… again… for the (what seems like) millionth time this year.
Why does Apple make me feel inferior? Because this is the only Apple product I own:
My actual iPod
Don't act like you don't know what this is...
The headphones are falling apart, but aside from that, it’s fine. My iPod’s sole purpose: to blast music into my ears while I work out. That is all I need and is all I want. Yet, every time I pull it out while at the gym I feel as though I have to hide it. I’m somewhat embarrassed by it. But why? It works and it’s an Apple product (so I’m not that behind the times), yet when people see it they act as if I just pulled out an 8-track. Am I behind the times? When Apple is concerned, yes: because the times change every few months.
But let me tell you this Apple, when I purchased my first (and only) iPod, I was under the impression I was making a sound investment. Everything is digital now, even books. My first generation iPod was promised to fulfill my digital needs and would continue to do so for years to come. And all this has been true. However, I was not told I would have to upgrade every few months in order to fit into society. Do you know how much these things cost? I rarely buy a full-album a year, let alone a device to play it on.
I don’t need to see anybody. I don’t need a screen to touch. I don’t need color. I just need to hear my workout playlist for an hour a day. Therefore, I will continue getting glares from onlookers and Apple will continue releasing products that will cause society to shun me further.
The latest Apple Product: Apple unveils new box for streaming movies & Nano Touch
“Apple Inc. announced a smaller, cheaper version of its Apple TV device for streaming movies and television shows over the Internet and into the living room. It also unveiled a new line of iPods, including a touch-screen Nano model.”

LOL. That totally reminds me of Adobe too. But I’m always good with what works… and if it doesn’t work… THEN, I’ll upgrade via my warranty. It just took me until this year to upgrade my phone… although I have to say I am pretty glad about that one. ADDICTION!
